When Medication hasn’t been enough

There’s Another Way.

TMS Therapy uses gentle magnetic pulses to reconnect the neural pathways in your brain — a proven, non-invasive path to relief from depression, OCD, and anxious depression.

What is TMS Therapy?

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, or TMS, is a medication-free, FDA-cleared treatment that helps people struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, and anxious depression. At Natural Brain Healing Psychiatry, we are deeply grateful to offer this treatment. We believe everyone deserves the chance to feel better and regain control of their daily life, and TMS is one of the most powerful tools we have to help make that possible.

Those living with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and OCD often have fewer active neural pathways in the brain. These pathways are essential — they allow key neurotransmitters to circulate and keep the brain functioning the way it should. When those pathways become underactive or disconnected, brain activity slows and symptoms take hold.

TMS works by delivering gentle electromagnetic pulses directly to the areas of the brain that need support, reawakening dormant neural pathways and restoring neurotransmitter circulation. No medication. No systemic side effects. Just precise, targeted treatment delivered right at the source, your brain.

The NeuroStar Difference

Not all TMS systems are the same. At Natural Brain Healing Psychiatry we use the NeuroStar Advanced Therapy System, the same technology trusted by leading psychiatric practices nationwide. Here’s what sets it apart:

Precision Targeting

NeuroStar uses a unique figure-8 coil that focuses treatment precisely at the source of depression in the brain, ensuring every pulse reaches exactly where it needs to go.

Consistent Dosing

NeuroStar’s patented Contact Sensing technology measures and adjusts each electromagnetic pulse in real time, ensuring you receive the exact dosage your brain needs every single session.

No Downtime

You are fully awake during treatment with no anesthesia needed. You can drive yourself to and from appointments and resume your normal daily activities immediately after each session.

Proven Results

In a real-world study, 83% of patients who completed their NeuroStar treatment cycle saw measurable improvement in their symptoms.

Our Approach

We Don’t Just Run the Machine

At Natural Brain Healing Psychiatry, we sit with you through every session. TMS works by strengthening neural pathways in your brain — and research shows those pathways respond even better when your mind is actively engaged in positive thought during treatment.

That’s why we work with each patient individually before and during every session, helping guide your mindset so you get the most out of every pulse. We talk with you. We check in with you. We tailor each session around how you’re feeling that day and what you want to experience.

This isn’t a conveyor belt. It’s a relationship. And we believe that personal connection is part of what makes the difference.

How It Works

TMS is a 7-week commitment with a simple, consistent structure designed around your life.

STEP 1

Initial Consultation

Before anything else, you’ll meet with one of our providers for a comprehensive evaluation to determine whether TMS is the right fit for you. We’ll review your history, discuss your symptoms, and answer any questions you have before moving forward.

STEP 2

Motor Threshold Mapping

Before your first treatment session, we perform a mapping session to find your personal motor threshold — the precise level of magnetic stimulation your brain responds to. This ensures every session that follows is calibrated specifically to you, maximizing both safety and effectiveness.

STEP 3

Your Treatment Journey

Your treatment consists of 36 sessions over 7 weeks, 5 days a week, with each session lasting approximately 30 minutes. You are fully awake throughout, no anesthesia needed, and can drive yourself to and from each appointment. Most patients fit sessions into their regular daily routine without any disruption.

But TMS at Natural Brain Healing Psychiatry is more than just showing up. We sit with you through every session, checking in on how you’re feeling and guiding your mindset to help you get the most out of every pulse. Research shows that TMS works even better when your mind is actively engaged in positive thought during treatment — so we make that happen together.

This is your journey. We just make sure you never walk it alone.

Insurance Coverage

The cost of TMS varies depending on your insurance coverage and individual treatment plan. Most major insurance plans cover TMS therapy for qualifying patients. We work directly with you to verify your coverage before you begin treatment. If you don’t immediately qualify, we’ll help you find a path to get covered. Our goal is to make sure cost is never the reason someone doesn’t get the care they need.

What to Expect

Side Effects Are Rare and Mild

TMS is well tolerated by the vast majority of patients. The most common side effect is a mild headache or scalp discomfort at the treatment site, which typically goes away quickly on its own or with over-the-counter pain relief like Tylenol or Advil. Serious side effects are rare and your safety is monitored throughout every session.
