YOU WERE MADE TO REST
Sleep Is Possible Again.
Insomnia is one of the most common and most treatable conditions we see. At Natural Brain Healing Psychiatry, we offer evidence-based treatments to help you fall asleep, stay asleep, and wake up feeling like yourself again.
What is Insomnia?
Insomnia is a sleep disorder characterized by persistent difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking up too early and being unable to fall back asleep — even when you have the time and opportunity to rest. It is not just a bad night here and there. When it becomes chronic, it affects every part of your life — your mood, your focus, your energy, your relationships, and your physical health.
Insomnia can be a standalone condition or a symptom of an underlying issue such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, or chronic stress. Either way, it is not something you should have to simply push through or accept as your new normal.
Insomnia is not a personality trait. It is not a sign of weakness. It is a medical condition — and like any medical condition, it responds to the right treatment.
Is This You?
Common Signs of Insomnia
Insomnia isn’t one-size-fits-all. It comes in different forms — and identifying which type you experience is the first step toward finding the right treatment.
ACUTE VS. CHRONIC
Acute Insomnia
Short-term sleep difficulty triggered by stress, life changes, or a specific event. Lasts days to a few weeks. Can develop into chronic insomnia if left unaddressed.
Chronic Insomnia
Sleep difficulty occurring at least 3 nights per week for 3 months or longer. The most common form seen in clinical settings.
TYPE OF SLEEP DIFFICULTY
Sleep Onset Insomnia
Difficulty falling asleep at the start of the night — lying awake for extended periods before sleep begins.
Sleep Maintenance Insomnia
Waking frequently during the night and struggling to return to sleep.
Early Morning Awakening
Waking earlier than desired and being unable to fall back asleep, often leaving you feeling unrefreshed.
