Natural Brain Healing Psychiatry

WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU DOES NOT HAVE TO DEFINE YOU

Healing Is Possible.

PTSD is one of the most misunderstood conditions in psychiatry — and one of the most treatable. At Natural Brain Healing Psychiatry, we offer multiple paths to help you process the past and reclaim your life.

What is PTSD?

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, or PTSD, is a mental health condition that can develop after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event. It is not a sign of weakness. It is not something you should be able to just get over. It is a biological response — your brain and nervous system doing exactly what they were designed to do to protect you, but getting stuck in that protective state long after the danger has passed.

PTSD can follow any kind of trauma — combat, assault, accidents, childhood experiences, loss, or any event that overwhelmed your ability to cope. It looks different in every person, and it can emerge immediately after a traumatic event or years later.

PTSD is not a life sentence. It is a medical condition — and like any medical condition, it responds to the right treatment.

Is This You?

Common Signs of PTSD

INTRUSION

  • Unwanted upsetting memories of the traumatic event
  • Nightmares or disturbing dreams
  • Flashbacks — reliving the experience as if it were happening again
  • Intense emotional or physical reactions when reminded of the event — racing heart, sweating, or shaking

AVOIDANCE

  • Avoiding thoughts or feelings related to the trauma
  • Avoiding people, places, or situations that serve as reminders

MOOD AND THINKING

  • Negative beliefs about yourself or the world
  • Blaming yourself or others for what happened
  • Persistent feelings of fear, anger, guilt, or shame
  • Loss of interest in activities you used to enjoy
  • Feeling detached or emotionally numb
  • Difficulty experiencing positive emotions

HYPERAROUSAL

  • Irritability or angry outbursts
  • Feeling constantly on guard or easily startled
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Sleep disturbances — trouble falling or staying asleep

If these experiences are affecting your daily life, we are here to help. Reaching out is the first step.

You Are Not Alone.

PTSD affects more than 13 million Americans every year. It can impact anyone — veterans, survivors of assault, first responders, or anyone who has lived through something overwhelming. Yet many people suffer in silence for years, believing they should be stronger or that what they experienced wasn’t bad enough to warrant help.

Your pain is valid. Your experience matters. And you deserve support. The hardest step is often the first one. We are here to make that step as easy as possible. No judgment. No pressure. Just a team that genuinely wants to help you find peace and reclaim your life.

How We Treat PTSD

Multiple Paths. One Goal.

No two people experience PTSD the same way — and no two treatment plans should look the same either. At Natural Brain Healing Psychiatry we offer three evidence-based treatments for PTSD, and we work with you to find the right fit.

A drug-free treatment that trains your brain to self-regulate using real-time brainwave monitoring. Particularly effective for PTSD, helping quiet the hypervigilant nervous system and restore a sense of calm and safety from the inside out.

When medication is part of your path, our providers take a conservative, thoughtful approach — prioritizing the lowest effective dose and monitoring your progress closely every step of the way.

Talk therapy that gives you a safe space to process your trauma, understand its impact, and build the tools you need to move forward. Often most effective when combined with one of our other treatments.
