YOU ARE NOT YOUR THOUGHTS
Relief From OCD Is Possible.
OCD is one of the most misunderstood and undertreated conditions in psychiatry. At Natural Brain Healing Psychiatry, we offer FDA-cleared, evidence-based treatments that can help you break the cycle and reclaim your life.
What is OCD?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, or OCD, is a mental health condition characterized by unwanted, intrusive thoughts — called obsessions — and repetitive behaviors or mental acts — called compulsions — performed to relieve the anxiety those thoughts create. It is not about being neat or organized. It is not a quirk or a personality trait. It is a condition that can significantly affect daily life, relationships, and the ability to feel at ease in your own mind.
OCD works in a cycle. An intrusive thought creates intense anxiety. A compulsion temporarily relieves that anxiety. But the relief never lasts — and the cycle begins again, often growing stronger over time.
OCD is not a character flaw. It is a medical condition — and like any medical condition, it responds to the right treatment.
Is This You?
Common Signs of OCD
OBSESSIONS
- Unwanted intrusive thoughts, images, or urges that are difficult to control
- Fear of contamination from germs, dirt, or illness
- Fear of harming yourself or others, even unintentionally
- Need for things to be symmetrical, ordered, or “just right”
- Unwanted sexual, religious, or violent thoughts that feel disturbing or shameful
- Fear of losing control or acting on an unwanted impulse
- Excessive doubt — feeling like something is wrong even when you know it isn’t
COMPULSIONS
- Excessive cleaning, washing, or sanitizing
- Checking and rechecking — locks, appliances, actions
- Counting, tapping, or repeating actions a certain number of times
- Arranging or ordering objects until they feel “right”
- Seeking reassurance from others repeatedly
- Mental rituals — praying, reviewing, or neutralizing thoughts internally
- Avoiding situations that trigger obsessive thoughts
If these experiences are affecting your daily life, we are here to help. Reaching out is the first step.
You Are Not Alone.
OCD affects more than 2 million adults in the United States. It is one of the most commonly misdiagnosed and undertreated conditions in psychiatry — many people live with OCD for years before receiving an accurate diagnosis or effective treatment.
You are not alone in this. And you are not defined by your thoughts. The hardest step is often the first one. We are here to make that step as easy as possible. No judgment. No pressure. Just a team that genuinely wants to help you break the cycle and find relief.
How We Treat OCD
Multiple Paths. One Goal.
No two people experience OCD the same way — and no two treatment plans should look the same either. At Natural Brain Healing Psychiatry we offer four evidence-based treatments for OCD, and we work with you to find the right fit.
An FDA-cleared treatment that uses gentle magnetic pulses to reduce the overactivity in the brain circuits that drive OCD — offering meaningful relief from obsessions and compulsions without medication or systemic side effects.
A drug-free treatment that trains your brain to self-regulate using real-time brainwave monitoring. Effective for OCD, helping calm the overactive thought patterns and reduce the anxiety that fuels the cycle.
When medication is part of your path, our providers take a conservative, thoughtful approach — prioritizing the lowest effective dose and monitoring your progress closely every step of the way.
Talk therapy that gives you the tools to understand your OCD, interrupt the cycle, and build a life that isn’t controlled by intrusive thoughts. Often most effective when combined with one of our other treatments.
